Tree service in Powell

Powell has been hit by more tornadoes than anywhere else in Knox County, including the February 1993 F3, the strongest ever documented in the county. The town sits on the floor of the Beaver Creek valley, deep well-drained bottomland that is exactly the ground black walnut selects for, and walnut leads our Powell species list with hickory, oak, maple and black cherry behind it. Valley-floor ground also gives you somewhere to put the wood: on one Powell job we rigged trees down and dropped them downhill into the woods rather than dragging every stick across the yard.
