Tree service in Strawberry Plains

Strawberry Plains sits on the Holston where three county lines meet, and the river is the working distinction for trees: sycamore, river birch and box elder mark the bottomland, while the limestone uplands turn over to oak, hickory and cedar. Bottom ground grows wood fast, and fast growth is brittle. UT Extension lists silver maple as susceptible to ice and wind damage for exactly that reason. The tree we took down here was an oak with a power line in play, which is the ridge list, not the river list.
