A redbud out, and two crowns lifted for the mower

Heiskell · June 2026

The yard here runs on two levels, and there was work on both.

In the lower yard, a redbud came out along with a smaller dead tree that had already gone over. All the brush that came with them went too.

The upper yard was not a removal at all. A spruce and another redbud up there were fine trees with one nuisance in common: their lower branches hung down far enough that mowing around them meant ducking, or missing. Those lower limbs were pruned back to give clean access underneath. Nothing else came off either tree.

That is the entire job, and the kit reflects it — a work truck, chainsaws and a pole saw. No lift, no chipper, no rigging. Two of the four items on this estimate were a mowing problem rather than a tree problem, and pricing them as anything more than that would have been dishonest.

There is a septic field on this property, which is worth knowing before anything heavy comes up the drive. On a job this size nothing heavy needed to.

Not everything that gets called in is a hazard. Sometimes it is a dead sapling and a couple of branches in the way of the mower, and that is a perfectly good reason to call.
