A pine over the pool and a dogwood in the lines

Four separate problems on one property, and the pine set the schedule for all of them.

It stood in the back yard right next to the pool. There is no raking wood out of a pool, and nothing that lands in one comes back out cheaply, so nothing came off that tree uncontrolled. It was climbed and taken down in pieces, rigged and lowered.

The dogwood was dead and had grown up into the power lines. Dead wood behaves differently from live wood against a conductor. There is no flex left in it, and it breaks where it wants to rather than where you put the cut, so it came out in small pieces.

The other two were smaller. Dead spars taken out of a living tree in the front yard, and a fruit tree in the fenced back yard that had grown out over a gazebo.

There was no lift on this job. All four were climbed, which is why a day and a quarter went into what reads on paper like a short list.

Every bit of wood and brush was chipped and hauled off. No pile at the back of the property, and nothing left beside the pool.
