# Four trees and a scheduled line drop

Karns · August 2026

Four trees came out of this property over two days: a magnolia in the back yard, a black maple in front, and two silver maples also in front.

The larger of the two silver maples was the one that set the schedule. It stood in the service drop, and no part of that tree was coming down safely with the line live. The work did not start on it until the homeowner had called the service provider and had the line dropped for the duration. That is a call the property owner has to make — the utility will not take the request from us — and it is worth booking well ahead, because the date the utility gives you is the date the tree comes down.

Everything in the front yard was worked off the lift. The roof was the other thing to stay clear of, and a basket puts the cutter where the limb is rather than swinging it past the house on a rope.

Debris was split two ways at the homeowner's request. Anything under about twelve inches through was cut to length and stacked on site as firewood. The heavier hardwood was hauled off. All brush went through the chipper.

Ground protection mats went down under the lift before it tracked across the yard.

Two days, four trees, one utility appointment.
