# Wood Chipping

The mess is the part people actually worry about. Not the tree coming down — the brush pile that sits in the side yard through the winter because whoever cut it did not have anywhere to put it.

We chip on site. The chipper and the chip truck come with the crew, brush goes in as it comes down, and it leaves with us — anywhere from Knoxville out to Sharps Chapel.

**Where the material goes is your decision, and we ask first.** Across our jobs, eighteen had everything hauled off, sixteen were chipped, and six had wood left on site because that is what the customer wanted. Plenty of people want the trunk wood cut to stove length and stacked, and the brush gone. That is a perfectly normal answer. On several jobs we have cut sections to ten-foot lengths and separated brush from wood so the homeowner could deal with each differently.

**Chipping as its own job.** Ten jobs on this site involved chipping without a full removal — a storm pile, a fence line that had grown up, a lot edge that needed clearing back. If you have already done the cutting and just need the pile to disappear, that is work we will quote.

**What we cannot chip.** Dirt-covered root balls and anything with metal or wire grown into it will take a chipper knife out, so those get handled separately. Very large trunk wood is cut and hauled rather than chipped. If you want the chips left for mulch, say so and we will blow them where you want them instead of into the truck.

The estimate covers cleanup either way. You should not be able to tell we were there.
