# Tree service in Corryton

Most Corryton houses are on septic, so our work here starts with locating drainfields before the lift moves, and one job was a large cedar standing in the main stream and backing water up behind it. Cedar is the tree to watch: eastern redcedar grows on six to eight inches of soil over limestone, and the Forest Service describes those shallow-soil stands as subject to windthrow. Wide root plate, no anchorage. Alongside it we have taken out black cherry, sycamore, magnolia and silver maple, a creek-bottom and glade-margin mix.
