# Emergency Storm Response

The phone goes to an owner. Not to an answering service, not to a queue, and not to a call centre three states away. That is the whole promise, and it is the reason this page exists. We take these calls across Knoxville, Maynardville and the surrounding counties.

**What counts as an emergency.** A tree on the house or the roof. A tree across the driveway with a car behind it. A limb hanging over where people walk. A trunk leaning into a line. If you are looking at something and wondering whether it can wait, call and describe it — we would rather talk you through it than have you climb a ladder to find out.

**What we will not do.** We do not touch a tree that is on a power line. Nobody should, and a company that offers to is telling you something about how it works. That is a call to the utility first, and we will say so. Once the line is dead or clear, the tree is ours.

**What happens when you call.** One of us picks up and asks what you are looking at. A photo by text helps more than any description — the number takes pictures. If it is genuinely unsafe we will tell you which part of the house to stay out of. Then we come and clear it.

**What storms actually do here.** Across Union, Grainger and Campbell counties the record is not tornadoes; it is downbursts, saturated ground and ice. Ordinary summer thunderstorms uproot healthy trees when the soil is already full of water. The county storm log reads the same way year after year — multiple trees down across the county — and one entry is a photograph of a tree lying across two vehicles and a mobile home. Knox County is a different story, with a documented EF-2 in August 2023 that ran from Hardin Valley to Middlebrook Pike and put sixty thousand customers in the dark.

**Being honest about this page.** Every other service on this site is backed by completed jobs you can read. Storm callouts are the exception — they happen at night, in the rain, with a homeowner standing in the yard, and nobody stops to write an estimate or take photographs. So there is no case study here yet. What there is: three owners, a phone that gets answered, and the same insurance and standards that apply to everything else we do.
